Staycation

We have been so blessed to have our close friends, Logan and Stephanie, from Virginia come and stay with us this week. It's been like a vacation and we didn't even have to drive 8 hours to see them! We've explored Mellwood Art Center, Bardstown Road, saw Brave, hiked around Rose Island, and saved a fish at the Falls of the Ohio. Steph is even taking some pictures of us for our family profile. She's a champ! So far, so great and we've still got a few days left with them!

A few months ago we got the chance to visit them and spent some time at their church for worship. It was a wonderful time with sweet people. When they came to visit us this time, they brought with them a donation and a stack of notes. Stephanie and her dad sold some of their photography to raise money for us and if that wasn't sweet enough they had people write us notes of well wishes! It was unbelievable to know that our little one is loved in the state of Virginia by a group of people who love Jesus more than anything. We were beyond blessed and I can't wait to put those notes in a book for our little one to read!

Even though we're absolutely loving this break with our friends, fundraising is still on our minds. We had a great yard sale this past weekend and were able to raise $123 buckaroos. Even better than that, our friends offered us their giant yard to host a MASSIVE fundraising yard sale. This is a huge blessing! When I got home later that day, I had two facebook messages from people wanting to donate if we ever had a fundraising yard sale.....God moment :o) We're still working on the details (when I say massive yard sale, I mean MASSIVE), but hope to get them to you soon.

Tomorrow is our pre-placement meeting in Indy and we're really looking forward to learning more about the next phase of our adoption process. As far as our home study goes, we're waiting on some CPS forms to come back as well as our approval in the next couple of weeks.

Well, I'm off to enjoy another great day with Logan and Steph and try to coerce them into moving here.
